MATH 103

I have heard that your final is cumulative, so it is important that you understand all of the material from the beginning of the course. Since Mondays are slower office hours, I encourage you to come in on Mondays with questions from previously covered sections! Tuesdays will continue as normal since they have high attendance.

Last night in office hours we went over sections 27.1 and 27.2:
  • definitions of: probability, experiment, sample space, outcome, event and relative frequency
  • how to apply an experiment to a Venn Diagram
  • difference between independent and dependent events (if you want to learn a little bit further on this topic, please check out my mini video lecture: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/serwy1/shared/video.MOV, it is approximately 12 minutes long)
  • a few activities from your textbook: discussion #2 on page 614, discussion #4 on page 619.
I'm probably going to lecture this morning to announce my website and office hours again :)
